Managing Hypertension with Chinese Medicine

Definition:

According to the 1990 WHO Diagnostic Standard Report, hypertension is defined as having a blood pressure consistently greater than 140/90 or when checked on three different days, found to be high with a systolic blood pressure greater than 140mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure greater than 90 mmHg. blood pressure

Cause:

If the cause is unknown for about 90% of people with high blood pressure, this condition is known as essential hypertension. When the cause of the hypertension is known, the condition is referred to as secondary hypertension.
In Chinese Medicine, hypertension refers to symptoms caused by hyperactivity of the liver Yang due to Yin deficiency of the liver and kidney.

Clinical manifestations:

Dizziness, tinnitus, distending pain in the head and eyes, fleshed face, congested eyes, lassitude in the loins and legs, feeling heavy in the head, insomnia and dreaminess, red tongue forceful and taut pulse or a thread pulse.

How Dose Chinese Medicine Treat Hypertension?

Many researches find that Chinese Medicine treats hypertension very effective and no known side effects. Chinese Medicine tries to achieve dynamic balancing Yin and Yang energy flow that through liver and kidney organs, restore harmonizing the functions of internal organs. In generally, two treatments per week are recommended to start with until patient blood pressure is stabilized and is lowered within the normal range. The treatment will gradually cut down to once a week or every other week or stopped.
