Ithaca, NY- The FDA has shown an
interest in Woman's Cap. Acupuncturists and Chinese
herbologists Jin Fang and John Shang have been clinically
using Woman's Cap for menopausal patients with very
good results since June of 2003.
Menopausal symptoms are: foggy thinking, hot flashes,
insomnia, weakness and fatigue, hip or joint pain, dry
or wrinkly skin, nervousness, vertigo, headache, heart
palpitations, and a lack of sexual desire. Women are
in peri menopausal, menopausal, or post menopausal and
are age 40-60 years old; they take two pills before
a meal in the morning and two pills before a meal at
night for 3-4 months. The effective rate of Woman's
Cap is above 90% so far.
Jin Fang and John Shang work with two scientists:
Dr. Li, who was a post doctorate in natural
medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center and now works
at a Pharmaceutical Company; and Dr. Liu, who
graduated from Chicago Medical School with a PhD and
Pharma D in pharmaceutics and now works at a Pharmaceutical
Company.
Jin Fang and John Shang extended the application
of Woman's Cap to include the following conditions:
- infertility: 4 of the 6 patients who have conceived
in 2004 have used Woman's Cap in conjunction with
Jin Fang's special herbal formulas, Baby Boom I
and Baby Boom II;
- fibromyalgia: patients using Women's Cap in
conjunction with acupuncture treatment have seen
very positive results;
- depression: women who are 40-60 years old have
combined Woman's Cap with Jin Fang's special herbal
formula Happy Mood to maximize their ability to
think and to do things clearly;
- male problems: add one single Chinese herb to
Woman's Cap to get a happy result. Currently,
the research team in China is investigating this
use of Woman's Cap to develop Men's Cap.
The FDA will review all the scientific researching
data from China and the international evaluation forms
from the current clinical practice in the USA, and will
conduct more extensive lab tests in the USA, before
hopefully undertaking a larger scale clinical trial.
Jin Fang and John Shang and their entire team thank
the people of Ithaca for their firm support. Ithaca
is an incubator with great people and is where Woman's
Cap was first tested. The Ithaca Journal on October
27, 2003, was the first newspaper in the nation to report
on the Woman's Cap study. Without all the support
of the people of Ithaca, Woman's Cap would not have
reached this important FDA milestone. The team
asks for the continuing support of people currently
using Woman's Cap to fill out their clinical evaluation
forms. Jin Fang & John Shang will collect these
forms and forward them to the FDA as needed.
The team promises to continue working hard to let
the American people know more about the power of Chinese
medicine. Their goal is to take more Chinese herbal
medicine to the FDA for review in the future.
I come from three generations of medical practice. My parents both are pharmacists in Western medicine. My heart and soul are in medicine and my patients. Most of my family and relatives are in the medical field. They are very open to both medicines. They are especially much excited about the biotech medicine research like Woman's Cap.
My products have come a very long way. More than 14 years ago, I started to formulate Happy Mood, Baby Boom I and II for this community. Many of my patients still remember they are cooking and drinking herbs. In later years they became capsules wrapped in a plastic bag. About three years ago, the tablets finally made it. They are being manufactured at a California herbal manufacturing company. Today, all my bottles are made in California. They are all natural and quality controlled. They meet GMP standard & WTO rules. The tablets formula's also meet FDA standard for heavy metals, bacteria and pesticide residues. From inside the pill to outside the label, they are all FDA inspected.
All of these herbs are available either online or at our office pharmacy. Unlike other pharmacies, I am also the clinician who developed the formulas! This makes our pharmacy the first of its kind, online or off.
I am very fortunate that I have had many great scientists and doctors to work with. Dr. Jing-rong Li, who was a post doctorate in natural medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center and now works at Roche Pharmaceutical Company, helped me design the FDA compliant labels. Dr. Daniel Liu, who graduated from Chicago Medical School with a PhD and Pharma D in pharmaceutics, now works at Schering Plough Pharmaceutical Company,
designed the international evaluation form for the clinical trial for Woman's Cap. Dr. Zhangping Peng, my husband's brother-in-law, who obtained his MD and PhD in cardiology in China and is now a post doctorate at North Carolina Medical School, assisted in information research. Dr. Xiaohang Yang, my bother-in-law, a PhD in bio engineering from Dartmouth and a post doctorate at MIT who is now one of the heads at Singapore National University Biotech Institute, helped me with product terminology. I am also grateful for the great support from my family--my husband, John Shang, who was a chief orthopedic surgeon in China, and my daughter, Rebecca. Without their advice and help, these herbal formulas would not be on the market. Today, these formulas go all over the country: AZ, CA, FL, IL, NH, MA, MI, MD, NC, NY, OH, PA, SC, SD, TX, and even Johannesburg, South Africa. Many people throughout the world whom I've never met order them.
Some people have questions about the minerals content in the soil in which the herbs are grown. That is an excellent question. I have to tell you that I don't know the content of the soil in China, but the one thing I do know is that when they come to the USA they all are inspected by the FDA and follow WTO rules. I eat rice, fruit and vegetables everyday. I enjoy eating them because of their color, taste, smell and freshness; I never think about the mineral content of the soil.
We want people to LOOK GOOD and FEEL GOOD!
